Budnick Converting, Inc., headquartered in Columbia, IL (in the St. Louis, MO metropolitan area), is a privately held and female owned corporation. POSITION PURPOSE: The CRM & Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day ownership, optimization, and support of the company’s CRM platform. This role serves as the primary liaison between business teams and the CRM vendor, ensuring the system is effectively used to support sales and marketing objectives. The position combines CRM administration, data analysis, user training, and light business systems analysis to drive adoption, data integrity, and actionable reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

CRM Ownership & Support

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for the CRM system (e.g., Sugar), including vendor coordination and issue resolution
  2. Manage day-to-day system administration, including user support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance
  3. Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve functionality and user experience

User Training & Adoption

  1. Train new and existing employees on CRM functionality, processes, and best practices
  2. Develop and maintain training materials, scripts, and user documentation
  3. Drive user adoption through ongoing communication, including tips, updates, and best practices

Data Integrity & Compliance

  1. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of CRM data through regular audits and maintenance
  2. Monitor sales team activity and enforce adherence to established processes and data standards
  3. Identify gaps in data quality or usage and implement corrective actions

Reporting & Analytics

  1. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and queries (including BAQs) to support business insights
  2. Support sales and marketing teams with reporting, pipeline visibility, and performance tracking
  3. Maintain and enhance CRM and related reporting tools to meet evolving business needs

Business Process Support (Light BSA)

  1. Partner with sales and marketing to improve workflows, templates, and system utilization
  2. Create and standardize tools such as customer review templates and reporting structures
  3. Gather user feedback and recommend system or process improvements
  4. Support integration and alignment between CRM and other systems (ie: Epicor/Kinetic & Grow)

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work with the Operations Systems Project Analyst and coordinate shared reporting and analytics initiatives.
  2. Coordination of customer portals. Work directly with Key Account Reps to manage the customer’s systems and demands.
  3. Sales development long and short-term Company strategies & implement the plans developed. Communicate ideals and accomplishments to the management team.
  4. Ensures compliance with operation standards and all department policies and company directives and assists with other projects and tasks as required by management.
  5. In a timely manner, alert management to conditions that create delays or affect quality and assist with changes needed to meet established deadlines.
  6. Perform duties safely and maintain a high level of safety awareness.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS: 

Skills: Good problem-solving skills a must.  Candidates should have working competency with all office equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, business acumen across sales, marketing & service functions.  Leadership & communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally. Excellent project management, documentation & organizational skills. Strong Excel skills including: pivot tables, formulas & data visualization. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and process compliance.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred. Course work related to software systems, general business, customer service or industry specific topics desired. 

Ability: Work cooperatively with a variety of individuals.  Demonstrate good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively internally and externally. Employ resourcefulness when problem solving to meet customer needs. Ability to translate business needs into system solutions. Strong understanding of data management, reporting, and analytics. Ability to train and support users with varying levels of technical expertise. High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and process compliance.

Experience: 2-5+ years of experience working with and analyzing CRM Systems (Sugar experience preferred). Experience with ERP (Epicor/Kinetic), Grow and TCP preferred.  Experience developing dashboards, reports, and query development (BAQ experience preferred).

QUANTITATIVE DATA: Office environment with the ability to sit for a prolonged period of time, including as a driver or passenger in an automobile/plane as required.  Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.  This position requires frequent communication with customers and other employees; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Occasional travel may be required.  Flexible working hours to support system implementations or upgrades.

Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, M-F, Remote position with in-office requirements as needed at St. Louis and/or Kansas City, MO facilities

FLSA Class: Exempt

Reports To: IT Manager

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 / year, paid bi-weekly.

BENEFITS: We offer a full-benefit package including the following benefits that are paid 100% by the company: vacation, holidays, $25,000 in life insurance and short-term and long-term disability benefits.  We also offer medical (premium cost shared with the company – we pay 99% of premiums for employee basic plan), dental & vision insurance.  Insurance benefits start on the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment.  401K retirement plan with a company match of 25% of the 1st 6% the employee contributes (match starts bi-annually after 1 year of employment). Reimbursement of travel expenses that includes meals, flights, rental cars, gas and hotels.  Profit sharing starts after an employee has been with the company for 3 full years.
