495

***Discontinued*** Anodizing Tape

Discontinued A 7.2 mil. tape featuring vinyl backing coated with rubber adhesive laminated to a silicone coated release liner ideal for masking surfaces during electroplating and anodizing. 495 tape offers excellent resistance to most chemicals used in electroplating/ anodizing operations. Prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures above 177°F and hot caustics may cause weakening of the adhesive bond. While 495 resists most common solvents, care should be taken to avoid ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons and esters found in many lacquer thinners, degreasers, paint strippers etc., whic may cause the backing to swell or curl.
