483
Polyethylene Tape
3M483 is a 5.3 mil. various colored polyethylene backing with a rubber adhesive tape used for many general purpose applications. 483 tape has low sulfur and halogen content and streches easily and is highly conformable. The polyethylene backing provides good solvent resistance properties and remains flexible to -20°F. 483 tap should not be exposed to temperatures which exceed 170°F. Exposure to such temperatures may result in softening of backing. The vivid colors and smooth backing provide an excellent glossy appearance. Best results are attained when applied to a clean and dry surface at temperatures between 60°:F to 80°F. To obtain best performance, use this product within 12 months from date of manufacture and store under normal conditions of 60°F to 80°F and 40% to 60% relative humidity in the original carton.
