General Information

9505 is a 4.9 mil adhesive transfer tape with 220 adhesive. It is an economical choice for general industrial bonding of metals, painted metals, and high surface energy plastics.

Adhesive Tape Features

3M 220 acrylic adhesive
Static Shear with 2,000 gram load at 70°F is 5,000 minutes to fail
Resistant to occasional splashes of organic materials including MEK, automotive oil, weak acid and base solutions and gasoline
Resistant to humidity and intermittent water exposure
Not recommended for low energy plastics (polypropylene, polyethylene, powder coated paints)

Adhesive Tape Applications

Attachment of nameplates, appliques and decorative trim to metal and high surface energy plastics
Lamination to sub-surface printed polycarbonate or polyester graphic overlay materials
Often used in cost-effective, long-term bonding applications
