Double Coated, Closed Cell Polyurethane Foam

General Information
V2862 is a 62 mil thick, closed cell polyurethane, that is double coated with an acrylic adhesive. This is a multipurpose foam that's primarily used for dissipation of vibrations and to distribute stresses and forces over the entire bond line. The adhesive on the liner side has been specifically formulated to provide an ultra high bond especially in severe exterior applications. Normount® V2800 series. Available with an easier release liner as V2862H.

Adhesive Tape Features
  • Available as V2862H which has an easy release high density 5 mil light blue polyethylene liner. Siliconized both sides for easy release
  • Available as V2862L which has a low density 5 mil light blue polyethylene liner particularly suited where end product must be coiled or rolled up
  • Available with a low density 5 mil red polyethylene liner and grey foam as V4662
  • V2800 series uses a standard medium 5 mil light blue polyethylene liner
  • Polyethylene liner excels in automated production
  • Excellent aging properties and all-weather environmental resistance
  • Dynamic Shear Adhesion= 120PSI
  • Density=34 lbs/cu ft
  • Tensile Strength of Foam=140PSI
  • UV light resistant
  • Extreme temperature resistant
  • Fungi, oxidation & ozone resistant
  • Stress distribution reduces pressure points, thereby minimizing distortion
  • Reduces/eliminates use of liquid adhesives, screws, rivets, welds and subsequent surface refinishing
