V2108 is a .25" thick, high strength, open cell polyurethane foam for structural glazing and cladding spacer systems for field and shop glazing. Available coated one or two sides. Thermalbond® V2100 series.

  • Open cell structure allows air and moisture to reach the silicone permitting optimum curing
  • High strength polyurethane foam substrate is chemically compatible with all silicones tested
  • Low thermal conductivity foam substrate reduces heat transfer and inhibits condensation on windows, doors and metal systems
  • Excellent resistance to weather, fungi and oxidation
  • Density=31#/cu.ft.
  • Tensile Strength=180PSI
  • Dynamic Tensile Adhesion=55PSI
  • Dynamic Shear Adhesion=40PSI
  • Static Shear Adhesion (1 PSI load)= 2000+hours
  • Thermal Conductivity=.55
  • Ultraviolet Resistance: 3000hrs. of exposure
  • Migratory staining of Acrylic enamel: No staining after 200 hours of ultraviolet at 140°F
  • Superb spacer for two and four-sided structural silicone glazing systems
