Clear Polyethylene Surface Protection

General Information
03001-028C is a 3 mil, clear polyethylene film. It is used primarily for surface protection. A medium tack good performance masking tape for used in interior applications. The product consists of a low density clear polyethylene film coated with a chemically stable water based acrylic.

  • Adhesion to steel=1.50-3.50oz./in.

  • Tensile Strength: MD=3300PSI, TD=2700PSI
  • Elongation: MD=360%, TD=540%
  • Low density
  • Clear film permits surface inspection without removal.
  • Substrates protected by tinted film may be easily grouped according to color, thus aiding in inventory control
  • Can be hand or machine applied
  • Acrylic adhesives will adhere to a variety of substrates and remove cleanly
  • Prevents scratching & marring
  • Prevents extra clean up due to over-spray
  • Reduces the need for costly rework & eliminating rejects
  • Medium density film cuts cleanly & resists edge curl
Adhesive Tape Applications
  • Ideal for stainless steel with a smooth surface finish such as buff#7 & #8 sheets or coils
  • Excellent performance on painted metals: high gloss, high pressure laminates; smooth, monoric vinyl, glass and automotive pin-striping.
