High Temperature Adhesive Transfer Tape

General Information

A 2.3 mil. transfer tape that uses 100 adhesive designed for temperature exposure to 450°F(232°C) for short periods of time and/ or solvent resistant. Bond strength increases as a function of time and temperature. Also has lower initial tack than the other 3M 100 adhesive transfer tapes to some subtrates.

Adhesive Tape Features

90° peel adhesion to ABS = 40 oz./in. (ASTM D3330 modified, 12"/min.)
Static shear on stainless steel at room temperature = 2000 gms. for 10,000 min.
Static shear on stainless steel at 158°F = 1000 gms. for 10,000 min.
Static shear on stianless steel at 200°F = 1000 gms. for 10,000 min.
When properly applied, nameplates and decorative trim parts are not adversely affected by outdoor exposure
Immersion in water has no effect on bond strength
When properly applied, nameplate and decorative trim parts will hold securely after exposure to numerous chemicals including gasoline, oil, Freon™TF, sodium chloride solution, mild acids and alkalis
Outstanding temperature and chemical resistance
Exceptional shear values at elevated temperatures
Low "outgassing" properties associated with aerospace, automotive and electronic industries
Different liners for a variety of die cutting applications
Excellent bond to metal and high surface energy plastics
