General Information

Discontinued 3M product. Please use Compare-A-Tape to locate a substitute. 9553SL is a 3.5 mil double coated tape with a polyester carrier. This double coated film tape feaures a thin polyester for dimensional stability and improved and handling with ease of die-cutting an laminating. The 3M acrylic PSA adhesive 220 has a good balance of peel and cohesive strength and is a very good general purpose, smooth caliper controlled, transparent acrylic adhesive.

Adhesive Tape Features

Immersion in water has no appreciable effect on the bond strength
Holds securely after exposure to numerous chemicals including gasoline, oil, "Freon"TF, sodium chloride solutions, mild acids and alkalis
