Adhesive Coating
This in-line process applies a precise thickness of adhesive to your material. Your specifications determine the coating thickness necessary for optimal performance. Adhesive coating is also the most economical way to create custom patterns of adhesives. Customization includes irregular shapes and extended liners for easy finger lift and removal of release liners.
Benefits
More economical than laminating adhesives
In order to create extended liners with standard adhesive tapes, pre-manufactured tape must be scored away and discarded. Moreover, Budnick can adhesive coat patterns in-line with our slitting and die-cutting capabilities to save you money.

Creates ungummed areas
Ungummed areas are portions of tapes that do not have adhesive coverage. Many automated processes require adhesives to be transferred onto parts at specific production intervals.

Easy liner removal
Finger lift tabs have become very popular to reduce production time. Removing release liners from adhesive tape is very difficult and can be near impossible if your workers are wearing gloves.

Customized to your application
Adhesive thickness is adjustable to produce the optimal holding strength in your application. Many applications require a temporary hold and others require a permanent bond.
Our Capabilities
Both permanent and removable hot melt or acrylic adhesives are applied to a variety of materials. Adhesives are coated in custom patterns or across the full web. The coating process may be performed in conjunction with our die-cutting and printing capabilities.
