Budnick Converting is a privately held and female owned corporation. We inventory and convert adhesive coated tapes and foams from every major manufacturer. Slitting, spooling, die-cutting, printing, laminating, adhesive coating, waterjet, in-line laser cutting and XYZ Axis Plotting services allow Budnick to customize material to your particular application. Budnick also serves as a job shop by conducting your slitting and cutting services when you supply it with your foams, films, foils, paper and other specialty materials.

Budnick's specialists help you source the optimal tape or adhesive coated material for your process. We can design cost-efficient parts, convert your material to exacting tolerances, and engineer cost saving processes for applying your tapes. Budnick is a customer-focused organization. Ed "Bud" Schwartz and Nick Cutlich founded Budnick Supply in 1952.  The company began as a distributor of tools and accessories.  The product line soon grew to include janitorial supplies and adhesive tapes. 

In 1982 Bud's daughter, Ann, took over operations of the company.  In 1986, Budnick purchased its first lathe slitter to cut log rolls of adhesive tape and quickly created a niche market in specialty converted adhesive tape products.  To more accurately portray this metamorphosis of Budnick into a specialty converter of tapes and flexible materials, the company's name was changed to Budnick Converting, Inc.

Today, Budnick's primary focus is specialty converting of adhesive coated tapes and foams.  Budnick remains on the leading edge of adhesive tape converting technology.  It currently utilizes 50 machines to convert materials into labor saving customized parts.   As demonstrated by continually investing in state-of-the-art machinery, Budnick is committed to increasing its capabilities and converting capacity.

Budnick Converting, Inc. is headquartered in Columbia, IL. Columbia is in the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area.  The majority of its inventory and manufacturing comes from the Columbia facility.  It has a second converting facility in Tampa, FL and a warehouse in Oklahoma City, OK. Budnick has sales locations in St. Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO; Chattanooga, TN; Oklahoma City, OK; and Tampa, FL. Budnick has also developed a joint venture with Excelcuts to create a full-service converting facility in Monterrey Mexico.  Further, Budnick's business consultants visit manufacturing facilities throughout most of North America. Budnick's goal is to solve your adhesive problems and engineer the process of applying your tape in the most efficient manner.

Many of the major tape manufacturers are forming strategic partnerships with Budnick. Due to the combination of adhesive tape manufacturing expertise and Budnick's broad converting capabilities, tier suppliers, OEMs and end users in many market segments are benefiting from increased productivity in their use of adhesive tapes. As a result, Budnick has become a trusted business partner for all of the major adhesive tape manufacturers and many Fortune 500 companies.
